MOVABLE FEAST *IRL* DAY 2, JUNE 14 at 3 PM ET

Two-day event at the Hanesbrand Theatre, Winston-Salem

IRL with Covid precautions

DAY 2

Sunday Afternoon Movable Feast - Sunday, June 13 at 3:00 p.m. at Hanesbrands Theatre

Sunday afternoon is a traditional Movable Feast where the authors visit ten tables for ten minutes each -- think speed dating with authors!

Due to Covid precautions, tickets for this event will be restricted to table purchase only. Tables can seat 1 to 8 attendees. To purchase a table, click below. All tables are assigned and you will receive your table information prior to arrival. Each table is responsible for inviting and securing their attendees.

If you would rather not have the full table expense charged to your credit card, you can reserve a table with us. To reserve a table, one person from the group must complete the order on our website; their credit card will be temporarily authorized for the $360 table charge, but the charge will not be finalized by Bookmarks. We will contact you within two business days to ask you to supply the names & email addresses of all the table's members so we can invoice the individual attendees.

Tables are $360 (plus tax). Depending on how many people you want at your table, Bookmarks will divide the table cost ($360) by that amount of attendees and invoice each accordingly. (For example, if you only wish to have 6 at your table, tickets will be $60 each instead of the normal $45). Any unpaid balances will be charged to the reserving credit card on June 1.

There will not be an option for individual ticket sales at this event. We encourage individuals to attend on Saturday night instead.

Halfway through the author rotations, we will have a 30-minute social break. Guests are invited to go outdoors for drinks and small, individual snacks. Outdoors will be socially distanced and masks will be required when not eating and drinking. The social is voluntary for those who would like to have refreshments. There will be no food and drink allowed inside the auditorium. Masks must be worn the entire event, covering both mouth and nose. Those who do not comply, will be asked to leave and will not be refunded. Disposable masks are available upon request.

There is a brief 2-minute rotation break between each author's 10 minute talk at your table. You are welcome to step into the lobby for a water break or to use the restroom. There is no eating or drinking at the tables inside the auditorium.

DAY 1

Saturday Night Parapalooza! - Saturday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Hanesbrands Theatre
In 2019, we extended the Movable Feast to a two-day event. Saturday night features the participating authors in a Parapalooza format. Basically, a Parapalooza is a chance for attendees to hear all of the authors read from their books. Each author is personally introduced and given two minutes to read one carefully selected paragraph from their book.

Due to Covid precautions, this event will be restricted in attendance size with socially distanced seating assignments. Attendees will sit in two's and there will be 6 feet of space between you and the next two attendees. Seating will be directed upon arrival and no exceptions will be made. Please plan accordingly if you plan to come with a larger group than two people and know you will be spaced out in the venue.

We will have two rounds of author readings and a brief intermission between the rounds. Masks are required at all times and those not properly wearing approved masks over both mouth and nose will be asked to leave and will not be refunded. Additional disposable masks will be available upon request. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout.

There is also a streaming option for this event.

Tickets are $30 each (+ tax), in-person and streaming

“We are a hair’s breadth away from tragedy at all times. It’s a really sour outlook, but I think we’re also lucky because we evade it most of the time. I feel like there are so many times things could go wrong and they don’t. And how great that is.” - Liese O’Halloran Schwarz
